Practical guides for running a Rust server — setup, moderation, anti-cheat, and plugin configuration. Written by tommygun, developer of Payback and the Tommygun plugin line, based on running and moderating real servers. No filler: every guide answers a specific question admins actually have.
Adam "Tommygun" Thompson
Facepunch first wrote about my work in 2015 — Wool, an AI-driven 2D Rust simulator, featured on the official devblog. I've been making Rust mods since 2020: I run Tommygun's Frag Mod, Escape From Rust, and CSRust, and my code has run on the largest and smallest servers in the game, including official servers like Rustopia. Best known for Payback, the plugin Camomo_10 uses to troll cheaters, and for custom plugin-driven events like Lucroan's $10,000 Raidathon and Yakov's Medieval Rampage.
